Kape Balai began in 2020 as a personal project born out of a love for "home-brewed" comfort during the pandemic. Founded by Michael and Faith Marie Magsino, who are former Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), the brand was inspired by the nostalgic connection to Cordilleran coffee that they carried with them while abroad. Today, Kape Balai has transitioned into a robust coffee and tea products trading business (officially registered as Kape Balai Coffee and Tea Products Trading), operating from its headquarters in Lower Quirino Hill, Baguio City. Their philosophy centers on "Local Perfection," aiming to showcase the rich heritage of Filipino coffee culture by partnering with passionate local farmers.
