Cemetery of Negativism is an unconventional tourist spot tucked within the wooded slopes near Mines View Park in Baguio City. It plays on a conceptual theme visitors encounter mock tombstones with humorous, satirical inscriptions that “bury” various forms of negative thinking and attitudes, such as “procrastination,” “self-doubt,” and “fear.” The installation is designed less as a cemetery in the traditional sense and more as an interactive commentary on letting go of unhelpful mindsets.
Unlike historical cemeteries, this site draws people for its creative twist: guests walk among the markers, take photos, and reflect on the light-hearted message. The setting within a shaded, natural environment adds to the experience, transforming what might be a brief stop into a memorable, conversation-starting point along a broader tour of Baguio’s outdoor attractions.
