OVERVIEW
The Valley of Colors, is the largest community mural in the Philippines, consisting of nearly 200 vibrant hillside houses in La Trinidad, Benguet.

The Valley of Colors is a colossal artistic landscape that transformed a densely packed cluster of houses into a unified masterpiece along the Halsema Highway. The project’s official name, StoBoSa, is a portmanteau representing the three participating sitios in Barangay Balili: Stonehill, Botiwtiw, and Sadjap. Launched in 2016 by the Department of Tourism-Cordillera (DOT-CAR), the mural was inspired by the favela paintings in Brazil and the Gamcheon Cultural Village in South Korea. The design was conceptualized by the Tam-awan Village Artist Group, led by solar artist Jordan Mang-osan, and features a vibrant theme of sunflowers and rainbows to honor the area’s history as a former sunflower field. This massive endeavor involved over 500 residents and volunteers who utilized 2,800 gallons of eco-friendly paint provided by a local firm. Today, it serves as a stunning visual gateway to the town of La Trinidad, symbolizing community cooperation, or "Bayanihan," and the successful revitalization of urban spaces through grassroots creativity.
